hey there and thank you very much for your information – I’ve definitely picked up something new from this. I did however experience some technical errors using this web site which I'd like to bring to your attention, since I tried to reload your web site tons of times previous and I could not get it to load correctly. I had been wondering if your web host is OK? Not that I am complaining, but sluggish loading times will often affect your placement in google and can damage your high-quality score if ads and marketing with Adwords.. not to mention drive commenters off your page. Well I’m adding this RSS to my email so I could look out for a lot more of your respective intriguing content. Ensure that you update this website again very soon..

My husband and I may have to move back north due to family obligations...We own a house that we still owe 205,000 on and it is now only worth about $130,000. What do we do? We have remodified our mortgage and are current on our monthly payments, but probably won't be able to rent it for the $1600 a month mortgage. Hate to "Walk away" from it, but we don't know what our options are. Any ideas?

I have a 40 year interest only loan that's upside down 50g. I don't see how weathering the storm is going to help me. My payment are $1350 if I pay more I"m paying pure interest plus a little bit more. Is there any help in my situation? I applied for a modified home loan they said being on unemployment helps and then they denied me over it. In the mean time I went back to school to finish classes that will give me a degree in over 2 years.Thanks 4 any advice

The recent housing crisis has put many homeowners into a difficult predicament. Finding yourself upside down on your home is never a pleasant place to be.

Homeowners often find themselves in the unenviable position of owing more on the balance of their mortgages than their homes are worth.

It is unfortunate but many people will try to take advantage of people in these situations. Do NOT give money upfront to someone to try and save your house. Do be smart and talk to someone (for free) to discuss the options facing you. Each person's situation is different.

Hello,

I was just going through your site and I really found it interesting and informative. I am a content writer and I write articles on various topics of Finances. I really liked the way you have presented your site.

I would request you to give me an opportunity to write an article on any financial topic as a “Guest Writer” for your site. It would be great to be a part of reputed site like yours :)

Below are the few samples of my recent publications. You can check the quality of my work from these publications:

    * how-to-raise-capital.com/loans/the-risks-of-debt-capital-financing
    * a-debt-free-life.com/debtsettlement.html
    * advantages-of-filing-bankruptcy.com/content/debt-management-or-bankruptcy-whats-right-choice-you
    * activistpost.com/2011/03/4-dreadful-signs-of-americas-economic.html

The article will be 100% original and will be published only on your site which will be relevant to your readers and will enhance your website as the quality of the content will be very high. Hopefully the post will be helpful to your readers and also will help your exposure in the search engines due to having more content and I will not charge you a single penny for this.

Please let me know if you agree on this.

Brian, you're 100% right. Chapter 13 is a form of bankruptcy. It is designed to get people on a repayment plan, so they can repay their overdue debts over time (and usually interest-free). It usually goes something like this when someone files Chapter 13: 1) creditors can no longer contact them. The bankruptcy court takes over that role. 2) Filer makes a monthly (lower) payment to the bankruptcy trustee, then the trustee repays the creditors based on priority (determined by the court). 3) In most cases, as long as the filer makes his payments on time, he is allowed to keep his home and foreclosure actions are stopped. 4) At the end of the repayment period (usually 3-5 years), the filer's unsecured debts (debts not tied to property, such as credit card debt and medical bills) are often forgiven (usually depends on if he stuck to the repayment plan in good faith) and he never has to repay those.
So, Chapter 13 is often a good idea for people facing foreclosure who have gotten behind on their bills (those interest rates can eat you alive quick!). For people who don't own significant property and have little or no income, Chapter 7 may be a better options. For more information on Chapter 7 or 13, you can check out www.totalbankruptcy.com Good luck everyone. Times are hard. I know bankruptcy isn't often ideal for everyone, but it has helped millions of people get out of debt.
